Cee King

Cee King is a capable and comfortable vessel. Perfectly suited to carrying small groups of sea anglers looking to fish the rich waters off the Yorkshire coast.

The vessel was purchased from Plymouth in 2016 by the late Barry Rodgers. She is a Tyler Watson hull, powered by 215hp turbocharged Perkins engine.

Cee King has had great success carring lots of day trippers fishing out of Whitby.

Steve Murgatroyd purchased Cee King in 2022 and has since has replaced and renewed various parts, including:

  • Complete re-wiring the vessel
  • Replacing the steering system
  • Replacing pipes and the fuel system
  • Adding a new chartplotter
  • Bringing all safety equipment up to date

Safety Equipment

Cee King carries 14 life jackets and 2 liferafts enough for 14 persons.

Your Skipper – Steve

Steve lived on the west coast in Fleetwood and learnt his skills working on local trawlers, charter boats, and other craft. He has over 40 years of experience.

Steve’s qualifications are numerous. From Powerboat level 1 and 2 and Commercial Endorsement, to Seafish Under 16.5m Ticket aswell as all Seafish required certificates, RYA Yachtmaster Theory couse. Steve and Cee King are Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved for a range of up to 20 miles from a safe haven.
